The Golden North Laura Fair

Hughes Street Laura SA

The Laura Fair Committee are excited to announce that The Golden North Laura Fair will be back in 2025.

With over 100 stallholders, live entertainment, face painting, petting zoo, ice cream eating competition, carnival rides and sideshow alley, 2025 is going to be bigger and better than ever!

The award-winning Golden North Laura Fair is one of the region's most significant rural festivals. Held annually over two days at the beginning of April, the fair typically attracts 10,000 to 15,000 patrons.

Situated beside the Rocky River and amongst the rolling hills of the Southern Flinders Ranges, Laura is a vibrant, artistic rural community with a population of approximately 650. Our event is wholly driven by a small volunteer committee and a large contingent of casual volunteers who assist with various aspects of the event.

The National Tourism Accredited Golden North Laura Fair was first held in 1980 as a way to promote art and culture in the area, and has run continuously every year since. The resounding success of the first year led to the formation of a separate committee to organise the event.

The Fair has since grown into a key attraction on the calendar for our region, as well as providing substantial economic benefit for local businesses and acting as a leading fundraising avenue for many local community groups.

The Golden North Laura Fair continues to prove its success, winning several awards from 1985 onwards.

Our family-focused event provides a wonderful country experience, with free entertainment over the whole weekend. Highlights include:

The 2025 Golden North Laura Fair will be held on dates to be announced. We thank our generous sponsors for their continued support.
